I hate when my parents fight over money

“Financial issues, one of the most common reasons for divorce is economic strain or collapse of the family. Every couple has to deal with money at some stage, and when there is not enough to go around, differences in temperament and priorities are brought to a head. Even if there is no debt incurred, disagreements over the allocation of money will often be enough to end an already irritated relationship.”

Sometimes I feel like I’m one of the reasons why everything adds up. More of their money could go to things that they should go to, like our house. But they’re always giving it away to my less fortunate family, helping friends, or giving it to me and my sister for school or when we go out. I wish I had a job so I didn’t have to depend on my parents all the time, and all of my wants or needs could be taken care of by me.

We know we shouldn't do it, but we do it anyway. We know we might regret it, but it seemed okay. Damn this wild young heart.
